Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant
Best for adult groups and date nights. Outstanding wines, food full of flavor, and a warm atmosphere โ it never disappoints. Do not skip the wine tasting before dinner. Only 3 blocks from the house!
CAVA
Like Chipotle for Mediterranean food โ only 10 times better. We used to plan vacations around which cities had a CAVA. Must-try: the lemon-herb tahini. That's how good it is.
Summit Grill
Our favorite restaurant in all of Kansas City โ and it's right here in Lee's Summit. The Street Tacos are a must-order. For dinner, the Lobster-Stuffed Salmon is incredible. Great happy hour too.
Sahara Mediterranean Food
We've tried Mediterranean restaurants all over the country โ Sahara is by far the best. The falafel is the best we've ever had, and the hummus is buttery smooth. A non-negotiable recommendation.
Pappo's Pizza
Our favorite pizza in Kansas City. Grab a craft beer and a hand-tossed pie in a completely relaxed atmosphere. Classic or creative toppings โ something for everyone.
Jack Stack Barbecue
KC is famous for BBQ and Jack Stack delivers every time. If you're willing to drive about 30 minutes, Q39 gets our vote for the best BBQ in all of Kansas City. Worth every mile.
Red Door Wood-Fired Grill
Flavorful food and fun drinks in a great atmosphere. Our favorite outdoor dining spot in Lee's Summit. Pro tip: Ask for the screened-in heated patio โ it's incredible year-round.

Neighborhood Cafe
Open daily 6 a.m.โ2 p.m. Classic American comfort food โ and every single meal comes with warm, complimentary cinnamon rolls fresh from the oven. Need we say more?
Martin City Pizza & Taproom
Great pizza plus arcade games in the back corner โ a fantastic combo for families. Great lunch specials on weekdays too. Fun for all ages in a relaxed taproom setting.
Hawaiian Bros
Quick, tasty, bright island vibes. We love the huli huli chicken and kalua pork. Pro tip: Sub mixed veggies and pineapple for the carb-heavy sides โ surprisingly healthy and delicious.

Summit Waves
A full family water park with a 904-foot Action River, an 8,000-sq-ft wave pool, multiple water slides, and a dedicated kids' area. Plan a full day โ you'll need it.
Rock Island Trail
A scenic multi-use trail for biking and hiking at all skill levels. Families love the leisurely stretch through beautiful Missouri nature. Pack a picnic and make a morning of it.
Longview Lake
Swim beach, boat rentals, fishing, and picnicking โ a fantastic full-day outdoor escape. Fred Arbanas Golf Course is right next door if you want to add a round of golf.
Lea McKeagan Park
Right up the road with something for every season โ two playgrounds, a skate park, pickleball courts, a spray park in summer, and ice skating in winter. Pro tip: The north side has the most to offer.
Fred Arbanas Golf Course
A beautiful 9-hole course with a driving range right next to Longview Lake. Great for all ages and especially good for younger or beginner golfers in a stunning outdoor setting.
Unity Village โ Nature Trail
The peaceful 2.4-mile Carl Chinnery Nature Trail follows a beautiful creek to a serene lake. Well-maintained and one of Lee's Summit's best-kept secrets. Perfect for a quiet morning out.
Lovell Community Center โ Pond & Trails
Rent kayaks, canoes, or stand-up paddleboards in summer for a very small fee. Bikes available for the surrounding trails too. A fun, affordable outdoor adventure close by.

Lovell Community Center โ Indoor Pool
The perfect rainy-day rescue for families with kids. Zero-entry pool, splash area, and water slides โ a fantastic place to burn off energy when the weather won't cooperate.
